CloseThe Magnien family has been producing wine in Burgundy for five generations. In 2015, the estate became certified biodynamic. This cuvée combines Pinot Noir from the Magnien’s five premier crus in the village of Morey-Saint-Denis: Cheseaux, Charrières, Clos Baulet, Chaffots, Monts Luisants. The grapes undergo a cold maceration and are 20% whole cluster fermented with indigenous yeasts, spending ten days in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged before bottling with a touch of sulfur. Deeply aromatic, the nose boasts notes of red berries, black tea, violet, spice, and earth. Medium-bodied and rich on the palate, ripe red fruit notes are balanced by umami earthiness and bramble. Pair with mushroom risotto stuffed quail or gnocchi smothered in wild mushroom velouté.
