CloseDomaine Bechtold is located in Dahlenheim, along the slopes of the “Couronne d’Or” the golden crown to the west of Strasbourg with a viticultural history that dates back over 2000 years. Their Crémant d'Alsace is made from equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Auxerrois (with just a touch of added Pinot Noir) via traditional méthode champenoise from certified organic vineyards that are in the process of being converted to biodynamics. Fresh, clean and bone dry, it’s medium-bodied with frothy bubbles, roundness on the palate, fleshy white peach flavors and toasty brioche notes. Pairs well with fresh shellfish or a Käsekuchen, a German-style, semi-sweet cheesecake made with fromage blanc instead of cream cheese.
