Domaine Coillot, established in the village of Marsannay in the 1960s, consists of 11 hectares spread out over 12 different appellations.  The vines range from 20-65 years of age, with yields that never exceed 32-40 hectoliters per hectare. La Charme aux Pretre is naturally produced, minimal intervention 100% Pinot Noir that’s farmed without any herbicides or pesticides, harvested by hand and fermented slowly with native yeast over the course of 20-30 days followed by 18 months in oak barrels, some of which are new. The result is a classic, light-bodied Burgundy with subtle, yet seductive aromatics that draw you in followed by earthy, wild cherry and blackcurrant flavors, a touch of garrigue and dry, silky tannins on the finish. Pairs perfectly with roast chicken or duck, or a semi-soft, moderately funky cheese like Morbier or Epoisses.
