Du Vin aux Liens is a natural wine collaboration between Vanessa Letort and various winemakers that she has very close ties with, including Farid Yahimi, her life and business partner, who founded Sons of Wine. Together, they launched Domaine de la Légèreté in Lorraine - stay tuned! But in the meantime, Vertige is her collab with Albert Hertz in Alsace adjacent to the ramparts of Eguisheim that’s made from 100% Demeter certified Muscat. It macerates on its skins for 10 days before spending a year in stainless steel tank. The wine reveals a tension between its intense, perfumed, tropical aromatics and surprisingly lean, dry but subtly wild palate of mandarin pith and kumquat. A bit shy of medium bodied, this pairs exceptionally well with spicy Indian cuisine or strong cheese like Muenster or Epoisses.
