CloseThis Gamay from the Ardeche is sourced from several different parcels of 60-80 year old vines, hand harvested and vinified naturally with native yeast. Herve is leading the natural wine movement in the Northern Rhone, competing in quality with big names of the valley. His philosophy is to make wines with finesse, by delicate extraction of tannins from grapes that undergo semi carbonic whole cluster maceration, that are drinkable right away! No filtration during bottling and low SO2. Dry and lean, this light-bodied red exhibits herbal, green pepper notes, a little garrigue, a palate of wild berries, and great minerality from the steep slopes and shallow topsoils of the Ardeche. Drink with a wild mushroom risotto.
