CloseThis Grenache dominant blend with 30% Cinsault and 10% Syrah from La Grange du Nord is a satisfying and substantial red with a bit more acid than expected, providing beautiful balance and structure. All farming is done organically and harvesting is done by hand. The Cinsault and some of the Grenache is direct pressed for freshness and purity while the balance of the Grenache and the Syrah macerates for 5 days on the skins for extraction, flavor, body and tannin. Unfiltered with no added sulfites, Gare du Nord displays aromas and flavors of raspberry and cassis with notes of jasmine, leather, mushroom followed by a hint of forest floor woodsiness. It’s a fantastic pairing for a vegan chili or Toulousain cassoulet with white beans and mutton.
