Oregon based natural winemaker Joe Swick sources his grapes from organic and biodynamic vineyards around the colder parts of Oregon and Washington. The result is an array of vividly colored interesting wines made from unique grapes. Bring It is Joe’s project in blending that changes every year to represent the characteristics and conditions of each vintage. The 2021 is made from 60% Pinot Noir, 20% Syrah, 5% Grenache Noir, 5% Mourvedre, 5% Touriga Nacional, and 5% Gewurztraminer. The result is a light-to-medium-bodied, pale red with distinctly sour kombucha notes, tart black cherry flavors, moderate tannins and some funky lychee aromatics from the Gewurz. Great with warm and comforting foods like Okonomiyaki, Kimchi Tempeh Tacos or take Joe’s suggestion and try it with Beef Bourguignon.
