CloseThis red blend is a unique medium-bodied and fruit-forward expression of the Paso Robles region selected by winemaker Andrew Jones, known for his keen eye for “diamond in the rough” sites. A true “kitchen sink” mix, this wine consists of a blend of ten different grape varieties sourced from ten different vineyards. Each grape is vinified separately, either as whole berries or through carbonic maceration for 7 to 21 days, which gives the wine a velvety mouthfeel through suppressing the tannins. The wines then age around 10 months in a mix of old and new oak barrels. Fiction is dark as night and rich with aromas of blueberry pie, eucalyptus, and anise. Pair with St. Louis-style spare ribs, twice baked potatoes, and green beans with pancetta.
