CloseFounded by the Costa family in 1851, this picturesque 7-hectare estate lies on hilltop overlooking the village of Montá, just west of the Tanaro River. Following organic methods, using only natural fertilizers, and no herbicides, their Langhe Nebbiolo is essentially a declassified, youthful Barolo from their more prestigious vineyards. It’s light-bodied yet sinewy, with ripe black cherry a hint of violet and a subtle spice note on the palate. The firm, dry finish, makes it a perfect pairing with mushroom lasagna or a simple pan seared pork chop.
