CloseFounded over 100 years ago the Domaine is currently run by Benoit Stehly, who worked alongside his uncle George for a decade before taking over in 2008. His Aligoté is harvested primarily from 60-year-old vines in Morey-St-Denis, with the balance from a few tiny nearby plots. It’s mostly destemmed, then pressed into stainless steel fermentation tanks then age on fine lees for about a year. Medium- bodied with balanced acidity, herbal aromatics blend with tropical fruit and fresh melon flavors on the palate, carried by a silky, almost creamy mouthfeel from the extended lees contact. Pair with a Pôchouse (Burgundian freshwater fish stew served with a cream sauce) or with a rich goat milk's cheese, such as Charolais. Fun Fact: Bourgogne Aligoté is the original, authentic white wine in a Kir, the forerunner of the famous Kir Royale!
