Ignacio Ameztoi is the 7th generation winemaker from his family’s winery situated in the Pyrenees with a majestic view overlooking the town of San Sebastien and the Atlantic Ocean. Made from the indigenous and perplexing Hondarrabi Zuri, it’s fermented in stainless steel and bottled young, before all of the CO2 dissipates. The result is a light, fresh and zippy white with a hint of spritz, stone and orchard flavors as well as subtle salinity and minerality. A perfect pairing with steamed mussels, raw bar or salty Basque Pintxos like cured meats, anchovies and olives.
