CloseThis fresh, orange-like Rosé comes from Bojo do Luar, a biodynamic winery that focuses on the cultivation of indigenous varietals run by Fernando Paiva. The cuvée is made from 80% Azal and 20% Espadeiro, which are unique and indigenous to the Vinho Verde appellation. The vineyards are farmed organically and the grapes are foot-stomped then undergo native yeast fermentation with the addition of crushed chestnut flowers, following local traditions. Twelve days of skin contact precedes three months of aging in amphora. Delicate floral aromas lead to a light-bodied palate complete with crisp zestiness that accompanies notes of tangerine, bitter cherry, and strawberry in a dry, mineral-driven, slightly tannic and saline finish. Pair with grilled salty fish or cobb salad.
