Jean-Marc Brocard was born a farmer and married into wine. What started as a tiny plot from his father-in-law as a wedding gift has been built into a domaine encompassing many 1er and Grand Cru vineyards. This 100% Chardonnay, from a single plot of 30 year old Chardonnay vines in kimmeridgian limestone soils, is farmed biodynamically and fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeast before aging in stainless steel. The result is a crisp, clean and precise medium-bodied white with notes of lemon, melon, hyacinth and a touch of salinity. Try it with a fatty cheese like Delice de Bourgogne, pan seared trout, or roasted root veggies.
