CloseThis pale, cloudy, coral-hued blend of Grolleau Gris and Cabernet Franc comes from Les Justices vineyard, planted in 1947, in the heart of Saumur-Champigny. Winemakers Sophie and Clément Maire-Kurdziel literally found the plot on the French equivalent of Craigslist in 2017. After harvesting by hand the grapes undergo a skin maceration of 10 days and a gentle extraction to impart fruit aromas and add subtle tannic structure. Strawberries, currants and violet on the nose lead to a palate of tangy raspberry and barely ripe peach with a crisp, clean, mineral-driven finish. A unique rosé, it makes a lovely accompaniment to shrimp tacos with mango salsa or grilled veggies served with Chimichurri and Burrata.
