CloseThe Badenhorst family has been farming and producing wine for three generations in the Swartland region. Currently owned by cousins Hein and Adi Badenhorst, who purchased and restored a neglected cellar on the farm last used in the 1930's, the vineyard adheres to dry farming and natural fermentation for all the wines produced. Handpicked from two parcels on the northern slopes of the Paardeberg Mountain, the grapes are chilled overnight before being whole-bunch pressed into settling tanks. Aged on its lees in concrete tanks and old casks, this medium-bodied, versatile white displays a beautiful aroma of orange blossom, white peach, and a touch of honey, while providing ripe stonefruit flavors and balanced acidity. Pairs well with grilled scallops with mango salsa or sweet veggies like corn bisque or roasted squash.
