All Points West is a Grain and Malt Pot Still Whiskey that’s mashed, fermented, distilled and aged under one roof in Newark, New Jersey’s gritty Ironbound neighborhood. The mash bill consists of 60% corn from Lakeview Organics in Penn Yan, NY, 20% German malted barley, 15% German malted wheat, and 5% smoked, malted barley. Double distilled in Bain Marie stills, the whiskey is aged in both new and used barrels for approximately 4 years and proofed down to 92% abv with pristine water from Newark’s Appalachian foothill watershed sources. Aromas of oatmeal, clove and nutmeg are followed by subtle dried apricot and butterscotch notes on the pleasantly round, smooth palate. Spiritually somewhere between a Bourbon and an Irish Whiskey, it opens up nicely with a rock but also makes an awesome an Old Fashioned or Rob Roy.
