A single malt for peat-lovers, Ardbeg is probably the highest-quality 'entry-level' single malt on the market, and a fave among connoisseurs. Sweet peat, coal, pepper, and chili, on the nose. The palette has a very soft, mellow entry, then the spice and peat come through in a big way. Powerful but with balancing sweetness, it has a long and warming finish of smoke and pepper.
