Named after the Brooklyn fort whose existence dates back to the Revolutionary War, Fort Hamilton Distilleries produces spirits in pre-prohibition style in Industry City. Double Barrel references the two high-rye whiskies (75% New York, 25% Indiana) blended to make this rye release – the mash bills features 90% New York grown rye and 10% malted barley from Taconic Distillery and 95% rye and 5% malted barley from MGP in Indiana. A softer, more fruit-forward rye greets you with notes of fine green herbs and toasted walnut on the nose, followed by a palate of honey and yellow apple, which finishes with bright salinity.
