CloseThis blend of Moscatel (90%) and Semillon (10%) is grown in the southern Itata Valley in Chile. The combination of the cool mediterranean climate and 80 year old vines produce intensely flavored grapes. Orange wine has a long history in Chile, where historically, white wine was made with skin maceration instead of direct press, due to the higher cost of direct press. Grapes are fermented with indigenous yeast and skin maceration lasts for 28 days. Intense floral, lemon and mineral notes precede a zesty palette of peach and lemon. Enjoy alongside boldly flavored dishes such as a Moroccan root vegetable tagine or a Charleston style shrimp and grits.
