2016 Terres Vivantes La Lutine Rose - Beaujolais-Villages, France (1.5L)
Terres Vivantes, located in the village of Blacé just North of Villefranche-sur-Saone, began its life as a mixed use farm belonging to Ludovic's grandmother. Terres Vivantes means "living earth" and everywhere you turn at this domain you can see, smell, and taste the vibrancy of life around you. Grasses are allowed to grow between the vines to provide nutrients and aerate the soils. This dry Rosé of 100% Gamay is a lively expression of the terroir in which it is grown, with notes of fresh raspberry and grapefruit. Softer and fruitier than a classic Provencal rose, this pairs beautifully with freshwater fish and mild cheese like a triple creme brie!
